Headquartered in Niskayuna, New York, USA, Momentive is a network of more than 40 locations in 20-plus countries around the world. Our locations span from urban to suburban to rural, and we have strong relationships with the diverse local communities surrounding each. This global breadth positions us to serve our diverse customer base of more than 4,000 customers in 100-plus countries. Technical/Corporate Internship Programs

Our internship opportunities in both technical and corporate functions give students the chance to work on real projects that address current business needs and contribute to our future success. Each intern is paired with a mentor to act as a catalyst for their professional growth and development over the course of their assignment and beyond.

Technical internships at Momentive cover Engineering and Research & Development functions where students can gain invaluable hands-on experience in manufacturing and lab environments. While learning about our innovative solutions and how we enable customer success, they can grow their professional network, hone their networking skills, and begin to learn cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.

Whether our interns are here for the summer, like in our US Summer Internship Program, or stay on for longer, an internship with Momentive provides invaluable hands-on, professional experience while executing on business objectives. For those interested in corporate business functions, we offer internship opportunities to give students the experience they need to succeed post-graduation. These internships are available in a variety of areas including accounting & finance, environmental health & safety, continuous improvement, information technology, supply chain, marketing, and human resources.

CO-OP Program

At Momentive, our co-op positions assignments projects that provide valuable hands-on experience directly related to your field of study, typically integrated into your academic program. Co-ops work full-time for a dedicated term, with the possibility of returning for future co-op assignments based on availability and performance.

Operation Management Trainee Program (OMT) - Nantong

Cultivating young talent and nurturing future leaders is crucial to us. Join our program in Nantong, China which designed for chemical and chemical engineering graduates. The OMT is an intensive 18–24-month journey, blending 3-4 job rotations, setting you on the fast track to managerial success.

China Internships: Real-World Experience

Japan Fresh Hiring Program

Apprenticeships

Momentive Europe offers apprenticeships in certain job functions like Manufacturing, Research & Development or Business Administration. Apprentices learn the necessary skills on the job and in school to be educated in a certain job profile e.g., operator, lab technician; however, there are opportunities in Business Administration as well. During an apprenticeship, you will receive on the job training in your field, as well as some vocational training.

Internships

A Momentive Europe Internship is an assignment that provides students valuable hands-on experience within their field of study, usually as part of a university course program. The goal of an internship is to offer students an extensive look behind the scenes, to understand business processes and to extend theoretical knowledge by gaining practical experience. It will also allow students to get to know Momentive as a potential future employer. Our interns work full-time during a single term, typically a 6-month period.

Availability of intern assignments can vary by location and may be available in several different functions (Technology, Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, etc.). For more information about internship availability, please contact your local Momentive facility.

Partnership with Soon-to-be Graduates to complete a Bachelor/Master’s Thesis Program

Momentive collaborates with soon-to-be graduates to assist in completion of their Bachelor/Master’s thesis. Students will develop a thesis topic and project outline with the help of the University and Momentive. Once approved, Momentive will assist the student as able by providing research guidance and/or expert input from our scientists.

If you are interested in a partnership such as this, please contact your local Momentive facility to inquire about potential opportunities. Often interesting subjects for a Bachelor/Master’s thesis come up during university collaboration and cooperation with professors. We are delighted to offer respective opportunities.
